Default "front lower arm bushes worn" - what do I need?

When I had the car serviced after I bought it the garage reported "front lower arm bushes worn" - which might explain the slight wobble of the steering wheel at speed on smooth roads (not that there are many of those).

The MOT is coming up, what parts do I need to stick in the boot for the garage, and where from?

There is only one type of lower arm bush or the wishbone as it is also called I believe. I would let the garage source this. They are a bit of a pig to fit. The mechanic could blame your part for it taking a long time to fit. Let them deal with it, any motor factor will have them in stock.

Pete; my advice is to book your MOT with a different garage one month before its expiry date without mentioning anything to them. What you've said sounds like the original garage touting for business.

Get your wheel balance checked first.

None at the moment.
