If the doors lock and unlock from the centre console switch then you can rule out door actuators. If the LED is only lighting on the unlock button and the doors unlock then it would appear that it could be a microswitch issue on the lock side of the key PCB. A local mobile phone repairers or the like should be able to replace them for you or if you are handy with a soldering iron ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170778885554 Please note if you are going to open your key cases please ensure you do not mislay the small chip that is seperate from the PCB, it is easy to lose.

Got a new blade through the post, cut to a photo, and it fits, i swopped the key blade out of my existing key, fitted this new one, and it opened the car fine, and because i still had the remote etc, started the car, so i have a blade now that will work, my plan is to when the new key comes, hopefully today, to use my old blade in that, program the central locking to accept this new key, so i can at least get into the car with it, then decide, do i buy a EWS Lite, which i can buy from china for about £50, if i use paypal, i can spread the payments, to lessern the impact, i am confident i can program the key, etc, i know to save the file etc, plus then its another member who has an bit of kit that can then be loaned out to other members

Hi Martin,
Just a word of caution, I bought a blank new key a little while back complete with PCB and PCF7931 transponder chip. The PCB was programmed to the car with no problems, but the transponder chip wouldn't play ball. In the end, I bought another transponder chip, this time PCF7935, and it worked perfectly. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265823957...mis&media=COPY

Well the key turned up today and i have swopped the blade over to my original so now i just need to program the remote, then once the EWS editor arrives, should be about 2 weeks, so the order says, then i can code the chip , the key has come with the bar codes so hopefully coding the remote should be straight forward , how easy is it to remove the light switch to get at the two torks holding the EWS in? and what size security heads are they,

It is a little awkward getting at the EWS box: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=304820
You'll need a 5-point hollow TS30 bit like this: https://amzn.eu/d/8cabDYI
