Ahh, I have been thinking that it was a bit lower than I was hoping for since buying it!

It's all coming together now!

So will it have a big impact? Plus, I don't really have the tools and / or confidence for what looks to be a reasonably challenging job. How much would a garage roughly charge to change it?

No idea on garage costs. I did mine with help from a friend and we followed the how to. Only had basic tools but did have a jack

RTS puts this at four hours to remove and refit.
So, that plus the cost of a thermostat

As long as that? I can see why the Renault option is chosen.
I know it's a bit of a pig of a job, I'm sure I can drag it out to 6-7 hours.
