It's going in the ztt to replace the poorly one that has a knock, I can then do a rebuild on it and have a spare!

Sorted the knock that occured when on a rough road; the drop linkk was loose! Wish there was somewhere on the site a chap (or chapesse) with a crystal ball knew what the solution was a posted a dream note for the aflicted! Struugled trying to get a spanner on the top nut but then read that if one turned the steering in the direction the way the wheel would turn on the side of the car affected it would be easier to get a spanner on the top nut!
Duh!!. The brain cells are reducing by the hour!!!

Fitted a tow bar to the Connie auto. Once I managed to free off the various screws and bolts that had been through 21 winters, fitting the bar and bumper back on wasnít too bad . Just the wiring to sort out tomorrow.

Had a spare few minutes, so thought Iíd check the plenum chamber drain holes were unobstructed through the spy hole. But clumsily poked the bung into the chamber when replacing it. Fearing it could block the drains, had to spend another ten minutes stripping stuff so I could get it out again.

Put some front spring tyre protectors on. Being a diesel, 21 years old now and a recall item, should my car not have had these put on by now? Anyway, it's done...

Probably had them fitted at some point but not transferred over when a change of struts happened at some point judging by the mileage...

Hi all,

Yesterday I took my Rover 75 for a quick wash down to get all of the muck off of it. There's this cat which seems to like big green cars and sprawls itself on the roof, especially after they've been cleaned.

I strategically parked my car somewhere else this time and thankfully it remained paw-print free!

Also, I have ordered a Blaupunkt 400 DAB+ radio, a DAB/FM Antenna splitter and a new cable with SWC converter. I will create a seperate post with a how-to, as soon as the job is done.
