Default One nasty crash

Sadly, the driver of the R75 died ( RHD ). The passenger and the rear occupants survived with no major injuries. I've seen the wreckage with my own eyes, it is beyond words. The car who hit them was a 2010 Honda Accord, nobody hurt badly. The accident twisted the left side of the car also.

The accord must have been travelling at some speed to do that. Very sad story and picture indeed.

Truly dreadful

Looking at that, I'm surprised anyone survived in either car

Oh good grief

So shocking, gosh they must have hit at speed. Frightening!

Both of the cars had around 100 kph. The police said the rover slipped and went rogue; not so sure, the car had working tc and very good tyres as seen in the picture. The road was cornering to the left in that moment, thats is no v8 and the impact is right sided with no frontal damage

How sad.

That sounds more like the combined speed impact - 200 kph.

Unfortunately if you get T-boned there is so little mass of metal and void space between you and what hits you - a recipe for disaster in just about any car.

If only the Accord had hit either the front or rear wheel instead of in between them the poor driver would have had a better chance of survival.

I went 180 a couple of weeks ago on a bend... no great speed (circa 35-40) the back end just swung out and a second or two later I was in a ditch on the other side of the road... just a touch of drizzle after 2 dry weeks... it does not take a lot...

Thankfully nothing coming the other way on the blind bend or a combined speed of 80 mph would not have been out of the question....

a stark reminder to take care even with good tyres and ABS, once your sliding, your sliding....

my condolences to the drivers family...

I can honestly say that is the worst damage i have seen on a car.

My condolences to the family.
