Bristol Commercial Vehicles Invented The Premium Grille!
Not Rover, not Audi, but Bristol Commercial Vehicles!
So said Rovers and Audi's have Bristol-type premium grilles!

And to prove this point...
Is there nothing sacred? Plagiarism! So from now on, I'll be referring to this as "The Bristol Grille"!

What goes around comes around.
The Britol 401 grille had more than a hint of BMW about it: And it had a BMW engine, so Rover only carried on a tradition by using the M47R. |

I can't help thinking that the new Mondeo design team have 'nicked' Aston Martin's grille design

Yes I read that it was tied in with reparations after WWII. Also Frazer Nash assembled and marketed BMW cars in the UK pre-war, and they were taken over by Bristol. Last edited by Mike Noc; 25th August 2016 at 10:21.. |

Lol when I first sky the Mondeo, I thought Aston were doing a smaller baby Aston, a foetal Aston if you like Lol. or had to meet more silly EU quotas that brought about the cygnet. but I just think it is Ford stealing the style. but they own them after all :-)
