Not Rover, not Audi, but Bristol Commercial Vehicles!

What goes around comes around.

The Britol 401 grille had more than a hint of BMW about it:

And it had a BMW engine, so Rover only carried on a tradition by using the M47R.

I can't help thinking that the new Mondeo design team have 'nicked' Aston Martin's grille design

Yes I read that it was tied in with reparations after WWII.

Also Frazer Nash assembled and marketed BMW cars in the UK pre-war, and they were taken over by Bristol.

They did once... not any more! A senior Ford executive when asked about the resemblance between the Aston Martin grille and the Mondeo grille they said "We paid a lot of money for AM so I think we can use our design"

Daimler Benz has a 5 percent stake in AM.

Anyway, that Bristol grille... plagerism!
