Default All Over Bar the Shouting!!

Not long left the NEC at the close of the Classic Car Show. Having a stand near an exit door certainly makes for an easy escape.

I'm just posting a sincere 'Thank You' to Paul (Reebs) Dave (DJW40) and Andrew (Dragrad) for staffing the stand. Paul and Dave travelled from Southampton on thursday, so they've been away for 3 nights, Andrew from Wales and he's been away for 2 nights . It was also great to meet Christopher, who brought his son along to help as well.

There was a lot of interest in the cars, and Paul will tot up the numbers of new members who have joined. There was a great atmosphere at the NEC, and all in all I thought it did well for the club.

So - once again, thanks to the Mods and Christopher, and hopefully we'll be able to do it again next year - even better.

I would like to send my most profound thanks to the members of the club team who helped make the NEC stand such a success this year. There was a lot of behind the scenes work needed to make the stand a reality, then there were the cars themselves - 3 very wonderful examples on show - thanks to you all for allowing them to be shown and being so generous with the visitors who delighted in sitting in them and sampling the luxury.

Thanks to Reebs for taking the lead on this, thanks to
Dave (DJW40) and Jezza for being there and loaning their cars. Thanks also to Andrew (Dragrad) for being there too. Phil and Jake and Neil, I enjoyed the chat. Thanks to you all for taking 4 days out away from your families to man the stand - I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. (My apologies if I have not mentioned any of the many other members who came up to have a chat - it was a great pleasure).

Jezza, it was a pleasure having a long chat with you and looking over your wonderful car ... turns out I was not the only one who would have driven it away if you looked the other way for long enough!

I'm glad this went well, we have been waiting for 2 years for this after there was no space last time around - we are hoping that we will be there next year with a bigger and better stand.

Well done to all concerned. Feel very guilty as I had it marked on my calendar but somewhere along the line I missed/ didn't realise that we would have a stand there.
Note:- must try harder next year
