Default Launch Car *Withdrawn from sale*

1999 2.5 AUTO....Wedgewood Launch Car...No Longer for Sale...

New MOT 21/10/14 .. Needed rear brake pipes and handbrake making operational.
Advisories on pass...ABS wiring damaged but not excessively.Offside and nearside front brake pipes slightly corroded...Offside steering system slight free play at steering wheel..Offside rear brake fluctuating, but not excessively...Front both sides suspension mountings deteriorated, but not excessively...Both rear trailing arm mountings deteriorated but not excessively...Play in steering rack inner joint.

I have done a lot to it since August but feel that i cant justify spending in time and money what is needed to bring it back to where it should be.

I really wanted a Launch car but the commitment is to much for me i'm afraid.

Highline replaced and all now works ,needs freeview.

No warning lights....side crash sensor and ambient sensor replaced.

T4 cleared all stored fault codes, showed vis motors needed, and fault with three speed fan, although this works fine...

Two new keys from marinabrian who also did T4..

Car drives well nice and straight, stops in a straight line no pulling or judders, plenty of power,no oil leaks or coolant issues.

Alloys are original i think, and are in very good condition as are tyres.

Interior is very clean,no wear or damage anywhere.

Sunroof is unplugged from motor..i think there may have been an issue previously but have not investigated,no leaks though.

No service history as this was lost, but i have details of previous owners, first owner was a garage for five months ,then next owner for nearly twelve years,i've spoken to him and he assured me the car was serviced as needed and the belts were done at around 70k...current mileage is 105k.

As car is no longer for sale Mods can remove from this section if they want.

That is a lovely car you have there. I Don't think you will have difficulty selling it. Great piece of history too and looks immaculate.

Really struggled with decision to sell, but the costs are just going to get to much for me.Got to admit i'm getting a bit of ear bashing from the wife as well ...Needs someone who be willing to put the time and money into it,a lot done but still needs more. The price gave me a headache as well, would like to get money back but want to be fair,i'm willing to negotiate for the right buyer, someone who can restore it properly...Baz.

What a lovely looking example!
A real credit to you and the previous owners.
I hope this special car finds a good home.

Thanks Graham, yes its a nice car alright...bit disapointed at the lack of response if i'm being honest...I did have a trawl round the net and couldnt find another one,i think its that if you want one of these you already have one.And of course the price,if it was seven hundred quid there would be a line round the block.Good thing is i'm not having to sell,so it'll stay with me and i'll continue to do bits until the right buyer comes along......Baz.
