Default Camshaft end caps

hi all
just purchased 2000 saloon rover 75 1.8, 78000, and very pleased with it. among all the service history, march this year a slight oil leak was detected at main dealers, they cleaned it off etc. stating it poss camshaft end caps, but engine would need stripping, since then have not noticed anything on driveway etc etc or about under the car. is this something i should worry over, or just keep an eye on and just be aware of.
i am completely new to rover but very impressed so far and pray i havent just bought a huge garage bill to cure what seems the only poss snag with the car.
cheers mike
