Removed rear offside wheel and power washed wheelarch. What I thought was caked on mud around the fuel pipes and cover was a type of underseal. When dry I wire brushed the metal and applied rust converter to leave overnight. Pleasantly surprised by how good the body metalwork is. Can't say the same for the suspension bits but at least they are easily replaceable.
Spring looks almost new and upper suspension arm nowhere near as bad as Marinabrians and may just need blasting or soaking and repainting after removal.

Tackled the nearside trailing arm rose bush on my old man's tourer, a bit of a slow one, so no time to tackle the offside today.

However there is now for the first time in the entire time he's owned it, no hint of bump steer at the back end.

There was less play than the ZT bushes, however as a result of the improvement I've ordered another couple of pairs to fit to the current ZT, and SWMBO's 75.

These must have been quite nice to drive when new

Fitted fire extingusher bracket under passanger seat. Thought front nearside lower wheel arch 'L' shaped cover was protruding a little, so eventually removed the four screws to reveal a 'ton' of dirt that had collected behind arch cover. Will be checking offside another day.

Hi Nigel. I think you will find the same on the other side. When I bought mine, i hade the covers of and found some, not a lot but luckily no rust and quite clean when cleaned off. So every other year I do the rounds again. When cleaned and dry, I lash Waxoyle in there. Up until this year, nowt going on in there.
