Default St Benet's Abbey, Norfolk Broads

Posted up the original colour version of this in the Caravanning and Boating section but thought I would convert it to monochrome in SilverEfex 2 and see how it came out.

Very moody - looks like the setting for some kind of horror movie. I think greyscale/monochrome is brilliant for ruins and the like - superbly atmospheric. You almost expect a half-naked warrior with woad on his face bursting out of that door in the middle

The actual Abbey is pretty much just foundations now.
The thing you see in the photo was the Gatehouse to the Abbey and a few centuries later the Wind Pump was built within the remains of the Gatehouse.

It's a great place to get sunrises and sunsets from but the moorings there tend to fill up fast as can be seen by this photo I took yesterday there.

Our boat is way down the end
