I have had a few minors.

1. A thumb crushed in a train door.
2. A fractured fore-arm from a fall, then I fractured the same arm a second time some years later, when it got dragged into some machinery.
3. A fractured finger when I slipped getting out of the bath, I set that myself using an hair curler as a splint.
4. My partner was (supposed to be) holding a door, whilst I ran a circular saw down it. She let it move and the saw blade went down the end of my right index finger (parallel). It sawed through the flesh, the nail and chipped the bone. That now looks fine, but the end is still a bit lacking in any feeling. There was no pain, to be honest I never felt any pain from any of the incidents.

5. During the past week, I stabbed my thumb down to the bone, with a large flat bladed screwdriver. I was trying to get a thick heavy duty rubber pipe off a plastic fitting. Blood everywhere, but that is all but healed now.

#1 had a peculiar shape to it and a badly formed nail right up until a few years ago. Then suddenly it improved when when I stopped smoking. Now it looks close to normal - whether due to stopping, I am not sure, but there were several other minor issues I had, which self repaired at the same time . My injuries do seem to heal faster now though, than they used to do.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Years ago I was working on a model before doing a nightshift, managed to stick a chisel bladed modelling knife right through my finger end, in one side and out the other! Wrapped it up in several elastoplasts and did the shift. When I got home I thought I'd better have a look at it, unwrapped it and I could move the fingerprint area around independent of the finger itself, went a wee bit light headed when I saw what I'd done! Went along to see the nurse at the local surgery, she secured it with steristrips, bandaged it etc. There's still a lack of feeling in it.
