Update on meet.
Please see copy of email below, which I have received from Julia at The East Somerset Railway with some more details about the meet. It would be nice to have lots of members attend and then we will be offered a group discount as well.
Copy of email: 'Thank you for your message. We can certainly accommodate your car club visit on the 14 May! Our car park is relatively large, so you will be able to park your cars together, especially as you are arriving early in the day. The station opens at 10am and you will be able to use the cafe and facilities from then. The first train of the day will be at 11am and if there are more than 20 people wanting to ride the train we can offer a group discount of £8 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office on the day. I hope this is of help and if you would definitely like to visit please let me know and I will make a note on our calendar. If you need any further assistance do not hesitate to contact me. Kind regards Julia' |

Just over a week to go until this meet takes place. There is still time to add your name to the list. Do not miss out on the lovely cooked breakfasts, steam trains and the chance to get some cracking photos. |

I would like to come along to my first meet, but it's only 50/50 I can actually get there at the moment.
Would it be OK to just turn up on the day? |

Only one week to go, would anyone else like to add their name to attend the meet? If the weather stays fine it should be a brilliant day and meet. Last edited by Nev The Bear; 7th May 2017 at 16:30.. |

Have a quick bump on this one Nev, just been looking through the link to the railway website - all very interesting ! Think this'll be a good day out with plenty to see for anyone interested in steam & preserved railways
