Finished the polishing of the headlamps. Using Solvol metal polish, clean cloths and a bit of elbow grease. It really takes the staining and scratches out of the glass and brings them back to 'new'.

Looked at mine thinking, MOT soon and ask myself - when are you going to deal with the paintwork, feel really lazy these days or just old age

The paint can wait and no sharp edges to worry about..me thinks a few bushes have play, felt a bit like we had rear wheel steering this morning..

Took Mo for a test drive round the block. Top pipe to radiator very hot but the heater is blowing cold air
Still got some work to do.

Started a late pre MOT check on Frosty, wheels off, brakes checked, and all looking good.

The headlights which I had given a quick once over last year were once again looking a little sad, so I decided to pop the bumper off and remove them for some corrective surgery.

So as I had recently unearthed my long lost machine polisher, I decided to had a practice on an old headlight first.......

Before.......

After......

However as Sods law dictates, a phone call from a customer interrupted working on your own car for a change, and then a few more calls fielded then the heavens opened

So after a bit of a delay, I lobbed it all back together, should be ok for the upcoming test

Deep cleaned and waxed my ZT-T roof. I'm still coming to grips with the size of the thing...could land a plane up there.

Found a few scratches and chips ( I guess from loading straps) to deal with but not too bad. Tomorrow out with the old toothbrushes to clean the gap under the roof rails and the rail mountings themselves. Then some back-to-black on the rails to keep them nice.

New rear spring today. Easy with the technique of releasing the roll bar at both ends. 3 hours start to finish and that included cleaning both arches, rubbing down the spring seat and rust treating it and having the caliper off to adjust the handbrake. Productive couple of hours.

Took a trip up to Andy Willi's. Finally got the lower engine mount and exhaust hanger replaced on Kim.
Next job, a bite to eat then out to continue bleeding Mo's coolant system

Smile Today I did....

Today I repaired the heater blower and the high speed radiator fan. The transistor pack, had gone faulty.swapped for a new one, but forgot the link cable, which arrived today, as this connects the wiring loom to the changed connector on the new transistor pack.
In doing so the A/C is now working properly and the rad fan is going to high speed.
Nice to have a demister again....now summer is over.
