I picked up another set of serpents last night and they had 215 50 17 tyres on them, my handbook shows the pressures for the 225 45 17 tyres. I prefer the 225 45 17 so will stick with them and change them to that on the spare set if I keep them lol.

Just had four new 215/50/17's fitted to my serpents and I have to say, they look, sound and feel better than their 45 predecessors.
The tyre place wanted to put 45's on but I didn't let them |

I had put a thread on here about my car would appear to tramline, it would all of a sudden snatch either to the left or right, anyway had a reasonable set of tyres put on, although the tyres they took off had some reasonable tread left I just couldn't be driving with them on, the upshot is, and please dont knock me if you think I might be gullible, the fitter said all the tyres were run flat tyres and Should not have been put on my car, I have only had the car a couple of months. That is why it was throwing me all over the place. True or False??? Rev |

I found this after removing runflat tyres in 225 45 18 fitted to the ZT and fitting the correct items. However I'm still marvelling at the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 on there now, they are simply delightful Brian |

Well, it's possible because to retro fit run flats to our cars you have to adjust the suspension significantly. If you don't, you'll find handling affected.
It's also a fact that run flats use more fuel and have less grip at low temperatures. |
