Default ouch...night in hospital

Sunday morning managed to all but sever the top of my left index finger.
went to hospital, they cleaned and bandaged then referred me to regional plastics centre about 30 miles away.

Alas they could not operate that night and so I stayed in. what a restless night, old men snoring and murmuring and one suffering dementia.

operation Monday but top of finger could not be saved, too much time had elapsed. not sure how much of finger I have lost but certainly from the top joint. Also took skin off the back of next 2 fingers down to tendons. again don't know how much damage done but I think should be ok. They had to do a skin graft from forearm to patch one or two fingers.

Have an out patients appointment next week.

As I believe in what goes around comes around wanting my brother in law and mother in law dead has come back to bite me.
maybe I will have to change from macafee2 to 9 & 3/4 fingers

if you using power tools don't just be careful, be extra careful as I'm not sure what happened Sunday.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I hope your hand makes a good recovery.A stark example of how the functions we take for granted can change in an instant.

What were you using?

Wow, I do hope that recovery is soon, and that you adapt to your new changes. Are you selling any power tools cheap?

I would suggest to the In-laws, that they take a step back, a big one.

mother in law has just rung to see how i was. I told her that until she apologised to my wife for leaving her on the ground after her brother had pushed her over I had nothing to say to her. she did not attempt to help my wife up, did not come to see how she was and did not ring to see how she was. brother in law was arrested for assault but gave a different account so no further action. when wife's brother reversed into our garden wall and refused to pay or provide insurance details, mother in law said its an old wall and implied we should pay, she feels hard done by.
she needs to deal with her sons behaviour, he's 52 for goodness sake and living at home with mummy
