true! but a lot of people give themselves a lot of room at their side by parking very close to the car on the left making it impossible for even my small wife on one occasion. Once she had to get in the passenger side and climb over.

What you say about parking spaces & size maybe true in a lot of cases but that doesn't stop, what appears to be an increasing trend, the "I'm Alright Jack" mentality.

The majority seem to find an excuse (size of space, in a rush etc) I would like the situation to be reversed for a week or so for these people then they MAY understand.

It may be old fashioned but I'm glad I'm me & a considerate person. There but for the grace of God go I..!!!!

You have my sympathies Mike

Regards

Paul

In truth, if that sticker is on the off side and someone parks their nearside to your off side, it is unrealistic to expect anyone to see the sticker.

I just park at the far end of the car park and if I'm in the right mood i'll take up 2 spaces. Always try to park in an end space that way your door will open adjacent to a hedge or road. You can control how far you park from a hedge.

To be quite honest, this has happened to me twice only. Once in a hospital car park. Had to climb over the console between the seats. Shame because I could not help scratching the nice 12 month old B* W by trying to get in a gap of around eight inches to my door. The other time I had to get the number announced over the tannoy in Morrison’s. Woman came out and said she was sorry but had not noticed how close she had parked to me. She was over the white line into my bay. Don’t know what she drove like, but think I had a lucky escape.

This is actually untrue, there are many many conditions that fall into the blue badge criteria, also the recently changed rules cover many none mobility issues.

Yes, I too have heard this. Not sure I agree of the changes for what is to warrant a blue badge as physical impairment is paramount. What really annoys me are those that park in these bays and have no need of them.

Same situation for my wife. In pain a great deal of the time, movement issues as well but rather than look at full medical history It's down to a one off assessment by an allegedly qualified person.

But rules is rules & we have to deal with it

Regards

Paul
