Strange one thats got me, and my insurer baffled
I recently changed my phone and every thing transferred over ok, except my car insurance app, i can bring up my account , yes, but the driving history app keeps coming back as not connected, by their server, yet on my phone it shows as connected, I have a black box/tracker that records every jouney i make and scores me for my driving, and for this i need to have location active, its active on my phone, but their system says its not, I so far have exchanged numerious emails, sent screen shots, showing that on my phone its all set up correctly they have contacted the maker of the app, because they can't work it out, luckily they have not so far restricted my cover, and say they won't be asking me for jouney history whilst this is on going, As more insurance companies are using these black boxes and telematics, has anyone else has this problem?

just a thought.
Have you tried uninstalling it from your old phone? it might be linked in someway to the hardware. |

Just had an update, seems my phone is not compatible with their software, and i will have to get a new policy, So i first looked at their on line portal, £540 a rise of £100 i then did a comparison check, best offer for exactly the same cover, with another insurer, £340 needless to say im cancelling my currant insurance and going for the other policy because when i asked about can you match this they said no, the cheapest they could do was £540 so much for customer retention .

How ridiculous, you cannot insure your car because you don't have the correct mobile phone.!!!
