Default Electric Passenger Seat Switch - Broken Posts on Microswitch

Hi, the forward / back switch on my passenger seat has broken for sometime now. It works OK but button just spins round. So took it electric box out to find the two plastic guide posts which keep the knob horizontal are snapped off.

Is there a DIY fix for this? (besided buy a new switch of course)

Cheers, Rich.

Had the same problem with the passenger seat on my previous connie. I drilled small holes where the posts should be and knocked in a couple of pop rivets - seemed to work.

Result! Thanks Jimbo .. yup the pin from a pop rivet worked OK having used areldite to keep it in the small drilled hole. I did try and use the top part of the rivet but it was slightly to fat but the cut down pin works just as well.

Cheers,

Rich.
