More power for standard diesel.
Hi Guy's.
I have a 2003 75 connie estate auto. Done 76000miles. It's my first Rover and I've only had it about 4 weeks. I hear a lot on here about increasing the power, with words like Synergy. Can anyone explain to me what this is, how you get it, and approx. cost? Alternatively, any other way of upping the BHP? Thanks! Ray. |

X-power will take you up to around 135bhp and then is you add Synergy, the BHP will be around 152bhp. Basic diesel is 116bhp. X-power is the cheapest upgrade and then when funds are available get a Synergy. I would imagine that increasing the BHP would also decrease the MPG?
Am I Right? |

Agreed, less frustration with the lack of power and better throttle response helps stop wasted fuel.

Sounds like a good investment then.
Definitely on my list, when I'm ready to spend even more money! (when I catch the wife in a good mood) |

Just don't tell her!
Might be T4ing mine tomorrow. I'll have a nice run back home in a few days and will do another brim to brim so will be able to give you some comparable figures. |

Not a diesel owner but, the diesel was available in 2 power outputs, 116 ish and 131 ish, the x power upgrade will turn a 116 into a 131.
If it was 131 from the factory the x power upgrade will not be aplicable to your car, if you have a 116 with a synergie then yes the x power upgrade can be aplied to your car and once the sysnergie is reaplied your overall Power will be up. Or of course there is the aftermarket remap route that some prefer. Richard |
