Hi Vindaloo,
If you were referring to me I have got this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170625538466

We got the 1.8 a week ago and I ordered one straight away.
Then when looking through the site I saw your thread. I must say I liked the way you approached the problem.
Not quite sure what path to take myself yet, will check it out at the weekend.
I was just saw the post above and wondered if having a Cowley built car offered an easy solution for siting the probe. It seems not.

You cannot connect the one you have bought to the sensor position on the black tank and in fact I don't know how you would use that one at all. You would have to insert the wires securely at a point maybe just below maximum level and then re-seal the tank. You will see from other threads how the one in my signature works.

I have been considering something similar to how Pevil did it as below

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...=122829&page=2

There are also Guys trying to achieve the same thing on a different vehicle here

http://www.mdocuk.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38102

Interesting to see the different approaches.

Do you know yet when your kit will become available again ?

I'm not sure when Jack will let the kit out for sale as Simon has a problem that no one else has reported and we don't know why he has the problem, so he has withdrawn it until he is satisfied there are no design flaws.

Default Level sensor

Hi

I have successfully fitted a Vw polo header tank with level sensor to my 53 plate 1.8turbo

It is also fitted with a Vvc inlet manifold

Please search threads by steveo and see photographs of the conversion

Hope this helps

Steve
