Default V6 owners,check yours.

I have been suffering some coolant loss of late and could not find where it was going.
So today I went to the supermarket and on returning to the car I saw a puddle underneath,so went home and dropped the undertray which took all of several seconds to undo, I then shone a torch up the back of the rad and could then see it was damaged and leaking.

When I looked from above I then found what had caused the leak, it was the plug for the cam sensor which sits on a bracket that had caused the hole, the angle of the bracket is too shallow and allows the plug to rub on the rad, I have had my car 2 years and it has taken this long to damage it.

The oil deposits are from a loose cover which has been duly tightened and cleaned.

You can see the hole in the third row down.
So check yours before it gets this far and an unnecessary expense.

I fitted a new radiator on mine just a few months ago for the every same reason.
Seems a waste of time now!

Yes, my insurance company came today and damaged items are front and rear bumpers, both o/s doors, roof, door pillar, sill, rear wing and suspension and could be up to £4k to repair! Gutted! !

No probguys, its not only the expense but the hassle in pulling it all apart to change it.
I managed to separate it all without undoing the aircon pipes which saved another 50 quid!!
