Arrow The 16th National Club Meet & Pride Of Longbridge Event 12th & 13th April 2014

Announcing the 16th Owners Club National Meet
on Sunday 13th April 2014

Following The Pride Of Longbridge 2014
on Saturday 12th April

The Club's 16th National Meet will be held on
Sunday 13th April 2014
at
Heritage Motor Centre
Banbury Road
Gaydon
Warwickshire
CV35 0BJ

Between 10am and 5pm

To mark the 15th anniversary of the launch of the Rover 75, the club's next national event
will be a combined weekend celebration following on from the Pride Of Longbridge Rally the day before
where we will again have a club stand for members at Cofton Park.

Gaydon Motor Heritage Centre holds a particular significance for the 75 and ZT Owners Club for two very important reasons;
firstly in terms of club organised events, it is where it all started for us back in 2006
with our inaugural meet which was attended by 100 cars, then our next visit back in 2010 topped that attracting 117 in total!

Secondly, as many of you will know, the museum at Gaydon houses the very first full production Rover 75
to roll off the line: VIN 100001 a Dealer Launch specification model no less,
so what better way to celebrate than to hold our event at it's current home.

Looking at the build record for # 10001, what makes this even more special
is the fact that it came off the production line at 10:28:29 on 12th April 1999,
so our event is 15 years to the day (POL accepted)!

As part of the club's National, we are looking to re-unite as many member owned Dealer Launch Cars
as we can in one place to be arranged in a display with # 10001 at the centre.

As we speak, we are in negotiations with the museum's curator to be granted special dispensation
to have #1 brought out for our display, so fingers crossed.

Quite apart from our club area, the museum contains hundreds of pristine examples
of automotive history including a Thunderbirds Pink Rolls Royce and of course the very last production
Rover 75 to roll off the line, hand assembled by a small team.

Once again, we will be presenting the annual Gryphon Award
to the best car at the show as voted by you the members on the day

The club shop will be available, and a raffle organised in time honoured fashion.

In addition, our Club Traders will be able to set up a stall if they so wish,
so it could be a great opportunity to pick up a bargain and save on postage.

We hope with your support, to make this the club's biggest and best National weekend ever
marking the 15th anniversary of the car's launch in style and with pride.

The cost for the Sunday National is £3.00 per car to attend the meet,
with the Pride Of Longbridge Day on the Saturday being absolutely free.

Plus we have a special club discount available for admission to the motor museum itself at Gaydon:

The usual price for entry is £12 per person, but you can buy an entry wristband from us for just £6.00

Entrance fees for the National meet and / or the museum will be collected on the day.

The Travelodge Bromsgrove Marlbrook
is 8 minutes from POL & 30 mins from Gaydon.
It has rooms from £38.00 currently
and a Toby Calvery for a nice meal on Saturday night.
