Default Rover 75 rescue project

I was contacted by a local owner called Andy (andymc) regarding a car that is beyond economic repair last month so I went up to Ballycastle, spoke to the man and after a week or so of discussion the car has made its way home to me over the scrap yard.

Dont worry, its parked on a hill not badly loaded lol, car levelled off on the road!

Shes a 2003 Club CDTi Saloon and shes very very sick. Engine problems galore, however I will update with everything as I go along. This for me is going to be a learning curve on m47r diesel repair.

Bodywork also needs a lot of love, but getting her running again is my priority.

Strangely the car seems to have had a set of simon from bulgeria's vinyl wood kit, which make me think the car was owned by a club user or member before hand.

Ive never saw it at any local events so help on this matter would be fantastic.

Bumpers coming mate, it's the rear quarter and boot lid needs a touch, but yes I was thinking you were the man for it!

But need to get car sorted before that happens.

This makes it my second 75 saloon, my third rover 75, and in total my 7th 75/zt in total since 2009 roughly however that's ones I've kept for myself. There have been others bought and sold which don't count!

Colin - I notice you towing her with a trailer.

I am thinking about getting a trailer myself to tow a sick 75 a bit of distance but wasn't sure how the law on weights work.

I was under the impression that the weight of the trailer and the car being towed had to be less than than the car doing the towing but it looks like I may be wrong.

Could you advise how much one is allowed to tow with a trailer (using a rover 75 to do the towing) ?
