Morning All,
Whilst sniffing around the net I found a picture from February 2007, of Longbridge showing 100s of new bodyshells of 25,45,75 and MG versions in climate controlled storage. (Picture is at the end of the thread attached) http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/...ght=longbridge I guess it is stock that is either awaiting disposal or stored there on behalf of someone (Maybe Nanjing or Liquidators?) Whatever has happens, it gives an indicator that there is a hell of alot of MG Rover stuff out there. The site is a forum of 'guys' who take pictures of urban decay, old vehicles etc. The website contains lots of pics of MG Rover, aswell of lots of other Architectual decay If you do a search inder 'Longbridge' it will give a few pages of links. It might be well worth a look if you're into your planes, trains and so on aswell. All good stuff. Kelseycowpat |

I seem to recall those pictures being of the old Longbridge plant. I also recall people saying most of what was inside the old factories were shipped over to SAIC and NAC following their buy-out of the designs. If they didn't end up in China they may have found their way into the spares market over here. One thing for sure though, they are no longer at Longbridge.

Those body shells along with much else were all destroyed. I have seen pictures in the public domain of the destruction. These pictures and many more received a lot of coverage at the time - great guys!

The 45 shells were crushed but as I understand it the 25/75 shells were shipped to China.

All those bodyshells ( Except the TF ) were stripped of doors, bonnets, tailgates, bootlids and front wings by XPart. Only empty shells were crushed.
