Default Fuel pump or electrical system failure ?

Hello,

I' ve replaced the fuel filter, so everything with the filter container and the "orange clip" is ok, however I still can't start the engine.
Under the bonnet I can hear a silent high frequency sound. The fuel pump does'nt work (it's engine) so fuel is not supplied.

There are two places where the fuses and some relays are, and I understand that the ones for the fuel pump are under the dashboard by the passanger's front seat. I don't know which ones are for the pump.
I search for electrical scheme, yet with no luck

Can anyone help?

Kind regards,

Waldek

Hello,

Thanks for this clue. Sorry to bother you - if the inertia fuel cut off switch by the fuse box under the bonnet. Excuse my ignorance - what does it look like? The fuse box is a trapezoid shaped black box with a lid. Is it by this box?
What can be wrong with it? Is it a mechanical or electrical switch?

Thanks and regards,

Waldek

Hello again!

If you can be so kind to indicate the wiring loom and on which picture it's presented, I would appreciate it no lesser than you help by so far. The thing which I forgot to mention is that it's a continental car with a driving wheel on the left but this shouldn't make a difference, should it? After all, it should be a mirror reflection.

Thanks in advance

In your second picture, right in the middle of the picture, you can see two wires that come downawards, then back up to a black connector.

Thiis is the inertia switch. Mounted on the metal panel of the car.

The reset switch is right on the top. you can't see it in your picture. You will find the top is round and made of rubber. Press this down to reset the switch.

I am a man with a car problem, too

I did reset the inertia switch.. I hope, but it didn't work. The top of the rubber goes down only a little)
Below is the picture of the thing that I pressed (Should any special conditions be met when resetting? )

When my hand was by a wiring loom right of the inertia switch (towards the end of the fender / door pillar) I grabbed a two wire connector plug, which is in the pictures below. Should it stay loose in my version?

Yes you got the right thing.

If it didn't move far, it didn't need resetting.

That loose plug. Not sure what it's for but it's loose on mine too. I think it may be for powerfold mirrors!
