Rover 75 bonnet release
Hi,just wondering what the best cure is? ive noticed when i pull the lever it go's all slack and to close the bonnet ive had to remove the little plastic box with the cables in and return them by hand so has any one had this problem before and whats the plan of attackcheers Lee

Following numerous repetitive temporary repairs, I did the modification and never suffered again |

Did you tie the cable-tie up tight enough to pinch the body clip at end of cable?

mine did that i removed the boxes that the bonnet catches into and greased them up with copper grease then didnt do them up to tight and the problem was sorted

Bonnet release lever bracket mod
My cable was still connected but not enough pull to release the Bonnet so I did a mod by putting a spacer, ( I used a piece of 15mm copper pipe I had handy and put a sawcut along the edge to slide over the Cable ) between the cable and the release bracket, and to stop it popping out I fixed a Jubilee clip around it. Works a treat.

bonnet catch cable not releasing
