If you were impressed by claying try Iron-x
Been wanting to try this stuff for ages but always been put off a bit by the price plus want really sure whether it would live up to the claims. Anyway, was feeling a bit flush so bought a botle off ebay for £16 incl postage.
Just before I start bare in mind the photos arn't so good and the car was not polished etc 0 it was just to clean it. Heres the stuff in question - supposed to remove any metal based contaminants. I regularly clay my car so wasnt expecting to find too much stuff. Hopefully reasonably clean paintwork You just literally spray it all over the car - your supposed to work it in slightly with a damp sponge but I just gave my car a good soaking. Down the sides didnt show too much up Different story on the engine lid though And again on the wheels it picked up on brake dust - really handy too for studded wheels And down stud holes After leaving it a few mins you just rinse off to leave scrupuously clean paintwork Realy, really like this product - its a long time since Ive been wowed by something. On the plus side it leaves your car squeaky clean as if its just come out a dishwasher - on the negative it sticnks something horrible plus the £16 bottle I used only did me for 2 cars although they claim it should do about 6 - not too convinced about that but I was being very generous! :-) Just to add this does NOT replace claying - its meant as a prewash before claying to extract metals out of the paintwork so a combination of this and claying should leave your car cleaner thatn its ever been. A1 product :-) |

Used some of that a few weeks ago.
I was kinda worried at first about using it, but pressed on. Was even more worried when the car started bleeding purple blood! Impressive stuff though, and now it doesn't worry me anymore!

You really are better off going over the panel with a damp mitt after a few minutes and then rinsing off, you won't use as much then and get better results.
It is a must as far as decontamination is concerned, probably one of the best new products on the Market in a long time. Before that you had to use the finish kare three step kit which was an expensive faff. Now you can ironx, tardis and clay and really get a well prepped surface to work on. I've got some pics if anyone is interested. |

Will do. Will have to edit out company name watermark on the images first, don't want my backside slapped!
Ah, yes. Autosmart's tar and glue remover rather than a dr who prop. |

Mmm, could be worth a look, and only £10.99 on here.

Ive just ordered som eof this which I reckon is the same stuff but half the price! :-) Ill let you know how I get on
WOLF'S CHEMICALS DECON GEL http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...-gel-cat4.html Ive also tried the alternative technique of spraying less on then using a sponge - it still works but TBH the good dousing is more effective - just a tad expensive!!! |
