Default lost rev counter and temp gauge

Strange things happened on my conny 75 CDI tourer, lost the rev and temperature gauge, checked the fuses no problem, what next...on the positive my trip computer has now register my fuel consumption up to 88mpg and rising !

On another note - traction warning light is on, how serious is this, should I not drive until sorted ?

All advise much appreciated, cheers

Does sound like water in the electrics. Check your plenum drains and then we can try help from there.

I'm guessing your heated rear window doesn't work either

Unlikely to be the plenums

If the heated rear window doesn't work either it's likely to be wiring damage in the area below the under bonnet fusebox.

I've seen this now on a few damage in this area is common and the potential cause of a whole raft of troubles.

I'll post a link to when last I sorted it when I find it.

No fun at all Phil, it's a real pain to get to, got one to sort out tomorrow with wiper problems the cause is there's a break in the wiring that controls the no1 wiper relay

Here's the last thread as promised

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...counter&page=2

The pictures of the area and damage give a good idea of what's involved

The OP's problem is likely to be very similar to the one experienced by Will.

Can bus wiring damage will cause the traction light too

Russ

thanks for reply's - back windscreen heater aint working too, sounds like a whole lot of pain - had the ECU recently repared by the DOC - problems with starting - sometimes nothing, thought it was the starter motor but may be its to do with the electrics, same problem...
