head light level, how to set

drivers side headlight is to high, how can i set it without going to a garage to get it done on the machine.
the manual says 10 yards away from a wall, but doesnt say how high up the wall it should come?
i tried lowering it but it also made the main beam shine just in front of the car, which is wrong

A guess. Has the bulb just been replaced ??

If thats the case I would check that the new bulb is seated correctly.

I dont think the main beam and dipped beam lights are individually adjustable in the same light unit.
