Hi Peter lee

Welcome to the forums.

I believe the way to get to the back to bolts is to remove an access plate that is on the bulk head just in front of the ECU; this should give you the room to get to the bolts.

Peter read this post section 3

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=152

using an 8 mm socket remove the 2 bolts holding the access plate onto the face of the bulkhead. Pull it forward slightly towards the engine and lift upwards, releasing the rubber bung that secures the wiring harness.

Peter,

see this pic as it shows you what you need to remove (in the pic the manifold is already off):

1. the rubber trim along the top of the engine bulkhead

2. unclip the sound proofing on the bulkhead panel

3. remove the panel in the bulkhead

This then gives you the room you need to get at those pesky bolts. Be careful to ensure you are trying the correct bolts - it's too easy to be working on the other, plug related bolts

well all done, thanks for all you help.
My old manifold was in a shocking state. The connecting arm, that the vis motor slots into appears not to be connected to anything within the manifold, it was just slopping about. no wonder it rattled like a marble in a tin can.
Once again thanks for all your help especially for the photographs.

Way hay gents, I thought I recognised somebodies handy work there Mr M ;)
You would be suprised on how many KV6's dont have them two bolts fitted when carrying out belt replacements. That sounds iffy didnt it ??!!
I should of said the bolts are not in before I start to remove the manifold.
