EVENT DISCLAIMER

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the Owners Club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.

Andy has just phoned me and we can go to the Aero Venture (post code DN4 7FB) in Doncaster, they have said that they will accommodate us, so for those wishing to attend and coming from the North Area, can we meet at Wetherby at 1000 hrs, and then we will drive down in convoy to doncaster, for a meet at the Aero Venture.

http://www.aeroventure.org.uk/

They are also going to let us have a reduced entry fee of £4 per person.

Any other member wishing to attend, can go direct to the Museum, as they have set an area aside for us, and museum opens at 1000 hrs.

I really am sorry that Harewood was cancelled, due to the weather, but it was beyond my control, and I suspect that a lot of other car nuts are also disappointed.

As soon as I know the re-arranged date for Harewood, will post up, and start a new list, and for those tickets we don't use, I will ask Harewood for a refund, to keep the costs down as much as possible

Just a thought, but if we get enough members, maybe we could use three of the trophies from the Harewood Show.

We could have

1st overall
2nd overall
3rd overall

I can re-use the voting forms which I produced, and then each member attending could judge all the cars present and make his choice as to what they think is best, 2nd best and 3rd best

What are members thoughts ?

Since my weekend has met a watery end too, would I be welcome if I turned up in a car which isn't a 75 or ZT* ? :)

It's my usual kit car camping/show weekend but I'm not driving over a hundred miles in a car with no roof in torrential rain, only to sit soaking in a tent :)

* The missus is using my car visiting a close family member in hospital.

Agreed, was so much looking forward to Harewood, and meeting up with you all, would have been a great day, and am absolutely gutted, that it was cancelled, when I checked yesterday at around 1600 hrs and Homer had posted up that it was cancelled, and then when I got home, got a text message from harewood, to let me know it had been cancelled

Home safe and sound. I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to Stu and Andy for re-arranging the event at such short notice. And thanks for welcoming us Southern people. I would also like to thank Alan 'Hodgy' who helped to guide us to the event, although I started off as lead car car and ended up last. I don't think Redfive has got over been overtaken by an ice cream van on the M1.
Many thanks for all the great comments about The Flying Banana.
Posting a few pictures today and some more over the next few days.

Hi Stu Andy etc etc etc
Just to say a massive thank you to everyone who arranged and attended the Doncaster meet yesterday,I know that most of you could have been doing other things on fathers day but instead choose to get together so that us Southern lot had somewhere to go on Sunday and the welcome could not have been warmer,It was very much appriciated by all of us and I hope that I can tempt at least some of you to our Weymouth weekender next year so we have an opportunity to return the favour.
We have just arrived back home in Portland after a 600 mile trouble free round trip that included a couple of VERY URGENT stops for some shop visits by Jan which has resulted in me being surgically removed from my wallet at least twice..
Thanks again everyone and we will return..
Got another meet this weekend but it's only a 200 mile round trip local !!!
Cheers Ian
