The caravan's built in clock has been getting more a more troublesome, for the last couple of years and we were recently away the caravan, it stopped completely. Its one of those quartz analogue types, which runs on a single AA cell. Inserting a new cell would make it tick for a few seconds and then stop.
Gummed up movement I thought, so when we arrived home, with nothing to loose I plonked it in an ultra-sonic bath I bought a few years ago, with a drop of Fairy. After cleaning, rinsing in clkean water and letting it dry out thoroughly, it has worked fine since.
