Have seen the following in a main dealer:

05/05 Rover 75 Classic, 2.0CDTI, saloon, Tempest Grey, Leather, 16000 miles @ £9995.00

Forgetting the book and bible prices, does anybody think this is a reasonable price or is it still too much?

Hi mate and welcome!

Bought mine 'new' in September. It is a Classic CDTi (Higher power engine) with leather seats, bigger alloys and that speaking sat nav thingy (cannot remember what it is called!) and a two year warranty for £12,500 delivered and with 12 months tax. So by comparison that sounds reasonable but knock em down by £500 at least anyway!

Prices are all over the place at the moment the Dealers can't get enough of them especialy Diesel Tourers

So haggle a bit but don't be surprised if they stick to their guns

Hi GTR1000 and welcome to the club. :D

I paid £10500 for a 54 plate ZT 135+ (CDTi) saloon including 12 months tax and warranty with 5000 miles on the clock back in July. Of the two cars the MG is normally dearer than a similar spec 75 so I reckon there is room for haggling, however if it's the one you really want and it will make you happy don't lose it for a few hundred quid, John. :)

Visited a garage in Bradford owned by the Pendragon Group today,
they had two brand new Rover 75's. unregestered.
One was a Connoisseur diesel in Firefrost red priced £13999.
The other a Connoisseur SE diesel in Ski blue priced £15999.
The salesman was telling me that a lot of garage's in the group
have been allocated two new 75's.
The price seemed a little high to me.but they gave me the impression
they would do a deal.

I think that with the time limit to get these cars registered new coming up then there is a good chance that they would 'deal'.
The DVLA state that for a car to be registered new it has to be with in a certain time. I think there is also an issue with emissions.
The owner of the garage were I bought mine said there was a loop hole and that dealers may be able to register 'new after 56 plates. He told me this after I had bought mine.
