heater control removal

Hi i have a 2002 rover 75 club and am trying to remove the heater controls.
I have removed the black facia and the 4 black screws but do i have to unplug the connectors on the back before i remove it as i dont seem to be able to slide the unit out.
Any answers please.

Think you have to remove radio facia above it first / or the switch panel below ...its one or the other .just woken up and only had 1 tea. ,then once the 4 screws are removed it just slides forward for wiring plus to be disconnected...

If its digital climate then it's just the two plugs to unclip if its manual with the dials then you need to remove the radio so you can get in to disconnect the two cables at the back of the unit
