Hi I have had a fault for some time on my cdti 03 rover,at 1800revs it does not want pick up,up to 1800 it's ok likewise after.the car is auto.by the way and seems to occur in all gears,I put on a diagnostics machine of my mate and everything seems ok,no alarms showing, any ideas AGW.

Sounds like a dodgy MAF to me, classic symptoms.
Have you tried unplugging it and seeing if it feels better ?

A dodgy MAF sensor won't flag up a fault code on a universal code reader. It will show on a t4.

yeap sounds like a MAF

I bit the bullet and got the Pierberg MAF and Synergy 2A+ from Tuning Diesels (RoverRon) and this transformed the car.

I initially only put the Synergy on and it was loads better; now with the new MAF aswell and with the ideal settings on the Synergy the car is super smashing terrific!

Well worth it. Mine is a CDTi auto tourer. I am now routinely getting over 42 MPG too which is nice as I am not hanging about!
