Hello everyone, I have a late '04 (facelift) 75 Cdti Conn Auto, which needs a first service shortly.
Can anyone recommend a specialist for the North East Essex / South Suffolk Area.
I'm quite happy to travel a 70 mile radius from Colchester.
Many thanks

Hi there Martin,
if you like a nice drive you could try
Coventry which is where LATES works from www.lates600.com mention the club when booking in and you can get free tea and biscuits :)
or
Upchurch in Kent www.mgr-service.com mention the club when booking in and you can get 10% off :)
i have used both and can recommend them.

If you click the logo at the top of this forum you will get to the club web site which lists dealers etc in various parts of the country.
As I am in Kent my experience of dealers in Essex is limited (ie non existant).
However Motorline Nissan (previously Whitehouse MG Rover) at Dartford have always looked after my car and I have had no problems. Their prices seem to have softned a bit after MG Rover's demise. Was quoted £150 for a small service which is what the first service is. Mines a petrol car though.
Heard good things about Apple Developements at Meopham, nr Gravesend as well.

Both of these are within your 70 mile radius of Colchester.
However would be a good Idea to phone for a quote to each of your chosen places since prices do vary.

I see you live not far from me, I live in Woodbridge (just outside Ipswich) I'm going to visit Lates on Sunday week for the 90k/6 year service including Cam belts, yes I have to travel about 2 hours to get there, it is well worth the drive because he is half the price and he knows what he is doing and all with genuine parts.:zap:
