very puzzled

Hi,just got the FOC problem,got the clip ad gave to the garage to fit,but,the filter is not the one we were expecting.my car is a dealer launch model which I have had for 12 yrs from Rover,and has not been modified during my ownership.I have asked the garage to photo the offending item,which i will
upload when I receive them.Was there more then one type fuel filter used?,any information would be very helpfull

check that they got the filter unit out and not the pump......

If I remember previous posts correctly the earlier cars had a different filter, the FOC being needed on post 2001 cars only due to a change in design of the filter.

I've got an 02 model but not the filter that requires the FOC.:huh:

Early cars had a filter housing that doesnt suffer the FOC.
There is a thread on here if you do a search which details with photos the two housings.
