Lidl do a pack of round stick on rubber pads for bump stops on furniture etc look where the stops have marked the paintwork in the boot and stick on the rubber pad. Job done. But in this weather the boot lid might be frozen shut and again it will machine gun. Spray some silicon over the rubber seal around the boot and the moisture will disappear, Do the door seals as well and your doors wont freeze shut.
