What is deemed as a acceptable oil consumption for the cdt engine? also what is the amount of oil needed from the lower mark on the dipstick to the upper mark?

Driving locally the oil consumption is minimal. Using 5W-30 fully synthetic in a M47R with 109K on the clock.

When I drive to Greece (2500+ miles each way) I need to top up with about half a litre when I get there, and half a litre when I get home.

But that's really moving it on the motorways for hour after hour.

AFAIK the difference between min and max on the dip-stick is 1 litre.
