heater valve- was a better solution found ?

as I had suspected, whilst the innards of my heater valve are ok, it has a slight coolant weep.
The car is under warranty so will get fixed, but only with the same type of valve again.

was a better alternative ever found ??

Its worth having a word with Lates or Keith as they are both most up to date on the heater valve.
