Broken rear spring

After removing rear wheels to check brake pads i noticed o/s coil spring was broken, a section of about 3 inches is sitting at base of spring.
There are many references here to broken springs so rather than replace with oem part should i consider another make?

Certain types of OE rear springs were not available the last I checked. Under the nsr cushion is a label telling you the colour codes for your model. Spring breakage is not that common on later models btw,only early ones suffered.
