Can anyone tell me the likely cause of the cigarette lighter power supply not working and temperature gauge always reads -30.

Faulty/dodgy wiring. If you've had the front bumper off the wiring to the sensor can become dislodged and the default setting is -30*C. If you have had the bumper off and are sure everything is back to normal then driving around for a few miles should allow the sensor to reset itself.

Wiring for the cigaratte lighter is burried in the centre console but before you go diving in it's worth checking the fuse as it has it's own dedicated fuse which could have blown.

If Wiring and Sensor appear OK, you could try disconnecting Battery for 20 - 30 Minutes then reconnect, observing correct shutdown Procedures where Required and Knowing Radio Code if that is required.
