Just filled up today. 53.76 mpg :}.

Filled up in Sudbury Suffolk, pottered about for 30 miles and an easy cruise back home for 330 mile. Then nice and easy dotting about Cumbria.

Filled up today after clocking 500 miles, spot on with 148 estimated range.

I have only once got a R75 over 50 and that was my first one on the same trip.

53.76 MPG

Really good mpg there. Any idea what speed you were cruising at and any hold-ups en route.

Yes, sure!
The previous tank full returned 45.77mpg. That was 60ish mile rushing round the hilly bits of Cumbria and the 330 miles cruising from SW Lake District to Suffolk. All main roads and 5mpg either side of 75 mph on the M6.

The 53.76 mpg tankfull was a reverse of the above really, but a kept it down to 65-70 on the motorway and drove really gently the rest of the time. There were no hold ups on either really.

I have the Hi-Nav TV screen in my car. By adding the "distance traveled" and the "range" together I can gauge how economically I'm driving. If they add up to more than 600 i know im running at about 48-50ish mpg. 49 was my previous best.
As soon as I get above 70mph on the motorway though or start pushing it on the open road, the combined figure starts to drop.
On the 53.76mpg tankful, the combined figure was 648 when i filled up but was as high as 720 for a minute or 2 on the M6.

Hope that helps.

PS; I also reckon that 195 tyres are more economical on fuel than 205 and i will be changing back to 195 when i can afford it.
