Any members going to MG Harrogate show this year ?

I normally take my MGF and enter it in the concours, and have won quite a few times, but this year have decided to take the MG ZT, and have entered it into concours just to see if the judges rate it or not

so this week will be busy doing the finer detailing ready for next Sunday

The web page does mention a discount entry fee to clubs, I presume then we could be parked together..

Hi,
I hope to be there (weather permitting) in my '0 series engine' MGB.

For those wanting to attend, then can I suggest that you send off for tickets by tomorrow, and then that way you can park with the other MGs and other marques, otherwise it will be the public car park at the entrance to Patley Bridge showground.

Look forward to seeing you there, I will be in the concours arena with the Blue MG ZT, and not my Red MGF, which I have taken to the sow for the last 5 or so years, something a little bit different. and am very busy every night getting it ready for the show

Are you entering it into the concours or just going with another club ?

If I get the chance will pop over and have a chat, be interesting to see an O Series in an MGB

Had a word with one of the chaps on the poster/advert for the show about getting a ticket to display area and he was of the opinion that he could not put me with a club without asking them first and basically did not know where to put me so looks like I will be with the riff raff unless we have a display area , he also said there is normally as many classics in the carpark as in the show ......

Yes he is right, there are a lot of cars which are classics in the field, which are part of the show as well, you really need to be part of a club, I asked last year, but did not get any takers, so thought that it would be the same this year, but maybe we could enter a club stand to this show next year, maybe one of the Yorkshire boys wants to organise it ?

Pop over and have a word with me on Sunday, I will be in the concours arena along with a few other cars which are entering

I`ve a trade stand on the go this year but with one thing and another, it`s all very very last minute.com and sadly I`ll simply look like a pikey with a transit and two gazebos!!

Pop over and say hello, you may even fine a bargain!

Just got back from the MG Harrogate show, had an enjoyable day, and was nice to see some of the forum members, Steve from MG Lifestyles, G20 Stu, Lyndard Skinner, and to my surprise, Suzublu

Did alright with the car in concours, but was a little bit disappointed, as I was the only MG ZT in the class that entered, so If I scored enough points with the judges, then I was declared the winner, but It did bring a lot of admires and attention to the marques

So of my photo's from today

Even though it was bone dry, and no mud was in sight !!!!!

How did you get on at Peterborough, any rosettes or anything ?

Also seen the Bling mobile today at Harrogate with is new wheels, and have to admit that they really suit the car, we looked around at few of the stalls that were selling bits, but no centre caps could be seen

G20 Stu, looks like he was about to purchase the complete tools stall at the show, but think he ran out of money

Great to see all the members at the show, and hopefully we can go to this next year as a club and have our own club stand

Ronnie

Agreed, but I was disappointed not to get the second place trophy as well, even though I was the only one in the class, but to obtain first, you had to obtain more than 72%

maximum points

Bodywork & chrome 40
Engine compartment 35
Boot compartment 20
Interior 30
Wheels & wheel arches 20
Underside of vehicle 20
Presentation 10

TOTAL175

To obtain a 1st in class trophy the car must obtain 126 points (72%)

To obtain a 2nd in class trophy the car must obtain 105 points (60%)

Stu was it Ronnie looking for some center caps for his new 11 Spoke alloys ?

If so, he should have been at Peterborough. A brand new set of 57mm with mk1 Rover logo sold for £15.
