Hi there just a quick question please. A mate of mine has the above petrol-engined car (sorry don't know the year) and it has fuel supply problems. He has been told that: a; this car has two in-tank fuel pumps & b; it is not possible to remove one or both of them to clean their filters. He would have to buy another tank!!!

Are both of these statements true?

Many thanks

Dave

The car has a pump in the tank on the right hand side , and a fuel filter assembly in the tank on the left hand side . The fuel filter is often mistaken for a pump by the unknowing :}
The orange clip referred to in the link above is only applicable to later cars , ie later than 2001 . When the filter assembly comes apart you lose fuel supply .
This link shows the tank assembly http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID001965
Both items can be removed .
