i cant remember if this has been covered before but i know the 75 front bumper chrome is removable amd the zt isnt but i was wondering if the molding on zt bumper is same size/length as 75 chrome because if it is i will be carefully removing zt bumper molding and bonding plastic behind and when all painted i will bond 75 bumper chrome into recess

They are the same. If you glued in your chrome stirps and painted them....you would end up with zt one.

And I must say....your very brave to be cutting a zt bumper that precisely.

Why not apply chrome wrapping once bumper is painted would be a whole lot easier.

Oh it has by me, and its awaiting stage two now!

This was taken after cutting out one side, both are now done and smoothed down neatly.

Next stage is now the cut the bumper and plastic weld the top of a Rover 75 bumper onto it so I can create this...

so was it a pig of a job?

Yes it is a pig of a job,the plastic used in the bumpers has a high mineral content which doesnt lend itself to welding easily.

Maybe bonding it it would be easier...
