Fitted Pierburgh and Synergy, EML light now on

Fitted the above after purchasing from member on here, the units work perfectly and prob ny settings that are incorrect.

Noticed a big change in power but also a fair bit of black exhaust fumes which was quite visible and left soot on paintwork above exhaust pipe.

Anyway, im now frequently getting an engine check light coming on. This happens at any time but not too often that ive noticed

could this ne caused by the synergy or anyone else had similar problems

Check that you have got the Synergy plug that goes in the MAF plug the right way round... ;) :}

Check all of your connections, but it sounds like it is overfuelling wildly.
I had this same scenario with a Pierburg MAF and DigiMAFam last weekend.
I can't say I'm surprised though :getmecoat:
