ABS Sensors

My 1.8T Connie Tourer recently had it's MoT and an inspection service, the MoT advised front pads were low and these were replaced as part of the service.

However, I was also told the front sensor will need replacing next time due to wire condition, and that the rear sensor is missing!

I should add ABS light is on when ignition turned, and out when engine starts as it should, anybody have a clue how that can be with one sensor missing?

I would have expected it to show as a fault and put the light on.

The brake pad wear sensors are separate items from the ABS sensors. They are different cables!

Many thanks wuzerk, that explains the problem, next service will have both replaced just to be sure, though why fitted to O/S when N/S run closer to grit etc. I suppose is because of LHD models for EU.
