My cigar lighter has recently stopped working. On the one hand its a good thing that I don't smoke but on the other hand, and as you know, its a useful gismo for satnav/phones etc. The 15amp fuse is OK and so I thought that I would try and remove the cigar lighter unit to check the wiring.
I removed the small piece of walnut trim, the heater control surround, the heater switches and the cruise control etc switches.
The Haynes manual becomes a bit obscure here but I cannot see how the bottom bit containing the ash tray, cup holder and cigar lighter bit comes out. Reluctant to apply too much brute force. I cannot see any obvious clips to release but it seems to be sticking towards the bottom of the unit.
Will have another go at the weekend but any tips and suggestions very wlecome.
